- Support after the sale. Get help identifying your vehicle and installing the kit, with a 10-year golf cart/EV battery warranty under Fleet’s published terms.
Choose your Tomberlin lithium battery capacity
| Capacity | Battery arrangement | Nominal energy | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 65Ah | One pack | 3.33 kWh | Confirmed stock vehicles with modest energy needs |
| 105Ah | One pack | 5.38 kWh | Everyday driving with regular charging |
| 168Ah | One pack | 8.60 kWh | More reserve in a single battery |
| 210Ah | Two matched 105Ah packs in parallel | 10.75 kWh | The largest energy reserve in this bundle range |
The 168Ah option stores 60% more nominal energy than 105Ah; 210Ah stores twice as much. Actual driving range varies with load, terrain, tires, speed, temperature and accessories. Capacity is not a speed upgrade. Modified motors and controllers need a specific compatibility check.
What is included in the E-Merge conversion bundle?
- Selected Fleet 51.2V NexGen LiFePO4 battery configuration
- CH5618 matched 58.4V / 18A lithium charger
- BR5139 Tomberlin mounting kit and hardware for the matched configuration
- AC0219 AC inlet and CB0917 main cable set
- Digital state-of-charge display
For 210Ah, confirm the approved dual-pack restraint, parallel harness and branch protection with your order. Check the existing accessory converter’s voltage range and load capacity separately; its replacement is not listed as standard bundle contents.
Tomberlin E-Merge model and year compatibility
This is a conversion for verified factory 48V lead-acid E-Merge vehicles with the matching mounting and electrical configuration. The E-Merge family is documented back to 2007. Coverage is not limited to 2025–2026, and a model year alone is not a fitment guarantee.
- Legacy E2, E4 and E6: check the actual voltage and battery bank. OEM documents include both six 8V and eight 6V arrangements for 48V systems.
- Shadowhawk and SE: confirm the lead-acid version and exact mounting configuration. Tomberlin’s 2024 SE sheet already includes eight 6V lead-acid batteries.
- LXR: request an individual configuration check. Tomberlin lists factory EVOLVE lithium as standard in its 2024 LXR specifications.
- Factory EVOLVE lithium, 72V and Engage/Ghosthawk: these systems are outside this lead-acid conversion procedure.
Before ordering, send Fleet support your model/year/serial label and clear photos of the complete battery compartment, controller and charger. We can help match the battery capacity, restraint and electrical interface. Read the detailed fitment guide and manufacturer references.

Plan the whole battery system
Your installation brings together the battery, restraint, charger, SOC display and vehicle circuits. The manual explains the order of work and includes the original-bank diagrams, accessory checks and an installation record.

Installation and charging: know before you start
Photograph and label the old wiring, follow your vehicle’s isolation procedure, remove the lead-acid bank, secure the Fleet system and install the matched charger and display. Then complete the manual’s pre-power, charging and low-speed test checks.
Charging routine: The current Fleet Tomberlin kit eliminates the original charger interlock. The vehicle may move while plugged in. Keep the key OFF while charging; disconnect and stow the AC cord before key ON.

Tomberlin lithium conversion FAQs
Can I convert my Tomberlin E-Merge from lead-acid to lithium?
Yes. A compatible factory 48V lead-acid E-Merge can use a matched Fleet 51.2V LiFePO4 kit. Confirm your original battery bank, controller, charger and mounting arrangement before ordering. Factory EVOLVE lithium and 72V systems require a different assessment.
Which Tomberlin model years does this kit cover?
The E-Merge 48V family is documented back to 2007; this guide is not limited to 2025–2026. Year alone does not confirm kit fitment. Check the exact vehicle configuration, including later Shadowhawk and SE versions. LXR models require particular care because factory EVOLVE lithium is documented as standard on the 2024 LXR.
Is a 51.2V lithium battery right for a 48V Tomberlin?
Fleet’s 51V product name refers to a 51.2V nominal LiFePO4 battery system for compatible 48V vehicles. The matched charger supplies 58.4V. Compatibility depends on the complete vehicle system, including the controller and accessory converter.
Which capacity should I choose: 65Ah, 105Ah, 168Ah or 210Ah?
Choose 65Ah for a confirmed stock motor/controller configuration with modest energy needs. Choose 105Ah for everyday use, 168Ah for more reserve in one pack, or 210Ah for two matched 105Ah packs in parallel. Passengers, hills, speed and accessories affect the reserve you need.
How far will my Tomberlin travel on lithium?
Range depends on the vehicle, terrain, passengers, tires, speed, temperature and accessories. The 168Ah option stores 60% more nominal energy than 105Ah; 210Ah stores twice as much. These energy comparisons are not guaranteed mileage increases.
Does the Tomberlin kit include the charger and mounting parts?
The main E-Merge bundle includes your selected Fleet battery configuration, CH5618 lithium charger, BR5139 mounting kit, AC0219 inlet, CB0917 cable set and digital SOC display. Confirm the restraint and supplied wiring for your exact vehicle and capacity, especially a dual-pack installation.
Can I keep the original lead-acid charger or battery gauge?
Use the matched lithium charger and supplied SOC display. The original lead-acid charging profile and voltage-based gauge are not suitable substitutes. Check the existing accessory converter separately; a 12V accessory must never receive full battery voltage.
Does this kit retain the charger drive-away interlock?
No. Fleet’s current Tomberlin kit eliminates the original charger interlock. The vehicle may move while plugged in. Keep the key OFF while charging, then disconnect and stow the AC cord before turning the key ON.
Can I install the conversion myself?
Use the downloadable Fleet installation manual and the instructions for your exact kit. Installation requires safe battery isolation, lifting, secure mounting, circuit identification and commissioning. If those tasks are outside your experience, use a qualified EV service provider.
What warranty comes with the Fleet battery?
Fleet’s golf cart and EV battery warranty is 10 years: five years of full coverage followed by five years of prorated coverage, subject to the published terms. Chargers and accessories have separate warranty terms.
