1

Match your system voltage

Stay with the voltage your trolling motor and house circuit already run — 12V, 24V or 36V. Never mix lithium and lead-acid on the same bank.

2

Size to your day on the water

Use the sizer below: motor thrust, hours out and typical throttle. Most anglers land on a 105Ah 12V pack.

3

Charge it right

Use a lithium-profile charger. Lead-acid chargers will not bring a LiFePO4 pack to full state of charge.

Size it right

How much battery does your boat actually need?

Trolling motors pull hard all day and lead-acid gives you half its rating before the voltage sags. Size the pack to your motor, your hours and your water — then run the whole day on one charge.

Size your marine pack

Recommended capacity

Estimate based on ~1A per lb of thrust at 12V and 80% usable depth of discharge. Message us with your rig for an exact recommendation.

100% usable capacity

A 100Ah lead-acid bank gives you 50Ah before it sags. A Fleet Lithium 105Ah pack delivers the full rating, every trip.

Half the weight

Drop 60+ lbs off the transom versus flooded lead-acid and get it back in hull speed and range.

Flat voltage all day

Lithium holds voltage to the end of the charge, so your motor pulls the same thrust on the last hour as the first.

5,000+ cycles, 10-year warranty

Sealed, maintenance-free and IP-rated for the marine environment. No watering, no acid, no off-season top-ups.

Buyer questions

Marine lithium FAQ

What size battery do I need for my trolling motor?
Work from motor thrust and time on the water. A trolling motor draws roughly one amp per pound of thrust at full throttle on 12V, and most anglers cruise at about half throttle. Six hours behind a 55lb motor works out near a 105Ah pack. Use the sizer on this page for your exact rig.
Can I replace my lead-acid battery with lithium directly?
Yes, in the same group size and system voltage. Because LiFePO4 gives 100% usable capacity, a 105Ah lithium pack replaces roughly a 200Ah lead-acid bank. Do not run lithium and lead-acid together on the same bank.
Do I need a special charger?
Yes. Lead-acid chargers use a charge profile that will not bring a LiFePO4 pack to full state of charge and can leave it chronically undercharged. Use a lithium-profile marine charger or one of our matched chargers.
Are these batteries waterproof?
They are sealed, maintenance-free and rated for the marine environment — spray, humidity and vibration are fine. They are not intended for continuous submersion, so mount them in a dry compartment or battery box as you would any marine battery.
Will lithium work in cold weather?
Discharge is fine well below freezing. Charging below 32°F is what damages LiFePO4 cells, which is why our higher-tier packs include internal low-temperature heating that warms the cells before accepting charge.
How long will a Fleet Lithium marine battery last?
Promise series packs are rated 5,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge and carry a 10-year warranty — a decade of full seasons instead of replacing a lead bank every two or three years.
