Controller Compatibility
EZGO TXT 36V models (1994-2009) use factory 36V DC motor controllers with a series-wound motor. The 38.4V Fleet Lithium pack is compatible with the stock 36V system. No controller reprogramming is required. The stock 36V controller may limit top speed compared to a 48V upgrade — if you want higher performance, consider upgrading to a 48V controller and motor.
Will this fit my EZGO TXT 36V?
Yes. The BR5202 bracket kit is designed for factory battery compartment installation on all 36V TXT and Medalist models. No modifications required.
Does my controller need reprogramming?
No. The factory 36V DC controller accepts the 38.4V lithium pack without changes.
What about upgrading to 48V?
This kit is designed for the stock 36V system. If you want to convert your TXT to 48V, you will need a 48V controller and motor upgrade in addition to the 51V battery kit.
How long does installation take?
